The Reggae Girlz struggled to keep the ball in possession and also struggled to find rhythm in their World Cup debut which cost them a 3-0 defeat by Brazil.
Brazil started the match pressuring the Jamaicans using a 4-2-4 formation to score in the 15th minute. They came out stronger in the second half to score in the 50th and 64th minute.

Brazil would have had more than 3 goals had it not been for Jamaica’s Sydney Schneider, who was outstanding, repelling a penalty and making multiple other keys saves heroically. Khadija Shaw also lived up to her hype and was a constant menace to Brazil.
