Elaine Thompson beats Fraser-Pryce to become National 100m, 200m Champion

Elaine Thompson has denied Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce National sprint titles, winning both the 100m and 200m to become nation’s double sprint champion on Sunday.

Thompson ran a world-leading 22.00 ahead of Fraser-Pryce’s 22.22 season best in the Women’s 200m. Jamaica’s sprint Queens are in fine form ahead of the 2019 World Championships.

Thompson has demonstrated yet again that she has a faster top speed than
Fraser-Pryce, when she stormed around the curve and left Shelly-Ann chasing.
