Jamaica beat USA to become the 1st Caribbean nation to qualify for Rugby League World Cup

Jamaica beat USA to become the 1st Caribbean nation qualify for 2021 Rugby League World Cup

Jamaica made history with their first-ever win over USA, 16-10, and winning the 2018 Americas Championship as well as an automatic qualification for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup in England.

The Reggae Warriors became the 11th nation to qualify after a magnificent rearguard action to beat the USA for the first time.

The Reggae Warriors’ heroic, stoic, goal line defence – particularly in a scoreless second half – saw them become the inaugural Caribbean nation to make a World Cup, sparking wild celebrations as the final whistle went at the Hodges Stadium, University of North Florida, Jacksonville.
