Chronixx and Protoje are billed to perform at The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival — one of America’s biggest annual music festivals. The two-weekend festival is scheduled for April 15-17 and 22-24 in Indio, California.
Coachella announced its official lineup for 2016 on Monday (Jan. 4), with headliners Guns N’ Roses, LCD Soundsystem and Calvin Harris atop the bill. Chronixx and his Zinc Fence Band as well as Protoje along with his Indiggnation band will perform on the 16th and 23rd of April.
In 2006, Damian Marley performed at the Coachella Music Festival and subsequently in 2007 with Stephen Marley, in 2011 and 2014 with legendary rapper Nas.
In 2015, with a lineup that included AC/DC, Alabama Shakes, Jack White, The Weeknd, and Drake, Coachella grossed a staggering $84,264,264 in ticket sales from a total of 198,000 tickets sold, both records. In its fourth year as a two-weekend event (April 10-12 and April 17-19) with virtually identical lineups, Coachella sold out its capacity of 99,000 per weekend.

Other performers at this year’s Coachella include Ellie Goulding, Sufjan Stevens, Jack Ü, Ice Cube, A$AP Rocky, CHVRCHES, Sia, Major Lazer, Flume, Courtney Barnett and Lord Huron, among many others.
Since 1999, the festival has showcased popular and established musical artistes, as well as emerging artistes and reunited groups. Notable past appearances include: Prince, Paul McCartney, Wu-Tang Clan, Coldplay, Madonna, Kanye West, Eminem, Nine Inch Nails, Jay-Z, Beastie Boys and many more.
