In a recent interview below, Drake echoes dancehall catch phrase ‘Addi me Daddi’ before praising Kartel’s impact on culture and music. Drizzy has never hidden the fact that he is a big fan of Jamaican culture, more specifically Dancehall music. In fact, on his 20-track album, VIEWS, the Canadian rapper has paid homage to Dancehall.

VIEWS has Jamaican culture embedded, as the project features samples of dancehall icon Beenie Man on the track “Controlla,” as well as Popcaan on “Too Good featuring Rihanna” and Serani on “9”.
