Fitzroy Dunkley 4th in Heat 1 of Men’s 400m at Rio 2016 Olympics

Fitzroy Dunkley finished 4th in Heat 1 of the Men’s 400m on Day 1 of Athletics at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Friday

Dunkley finished in 45.66 behind winner Machel Cedenio of Trinidad and Tobago 44.98, Gil Roberts of the USA 45.27 and third Yoandys Lescay 45.36. The Men’s 400m semi-finals set for Day 2, August 13 in the afternoon session at 6:30pm JA / 7:30pm ET. Dunkley personal best and season best is 45.06

Dunkley was second in 45.35 behind Javon Francis 44.95 at the Jamaica Olympic Trials/Jamaican Senior Championships held June 30 – July 3 at the National Stadium in Kingston.
