Fedrick Dacres earned Jamaica’s first medal in Men’s Discus in World Championships history with a best of 66.94m.

Dacres has been brilliant this year, throwing over 70m for the first time. He missed out on a medal at the 2017 London World Champions. Swede Daniel Stahl delivered on his season-long vow to be world champion, which he did courtesy of a best of 67.59m after scrapping his way to the discus title in a tight, tense competition.
