On Thursday, American sprinter Justin Gatlin ran a super impressive 100m to set a new meeting record of 9.75 at the Golden Gala IAAF Diamond League in Rome, erasing Usain Bolt’s 9.76 set in 2012. Gatlin led the pack by about a metre ahead of Jamaica’s Nesta Carter who finished 4th in a time of 10.06 and Andrew Fisher who ran 10.14 to finish 8th.
