Veronica Campbell-Brown is happy that she wasn’t disqualified for running out of her lane in Heat 5 of the Women’s 200m on Wednesday. Coming fast off the corner, Campbell-Brown ran out of lane five into lane six ahead of Britain’s Margaret Adeoye (pictured above). She ran the last 80 meters in the wrong lane to win the race in 22.79.

It appears it was when she crossed the finish line she realized that she had accidentally switch lanes. Watch her mouth in the video below.
Campbell-Brown and two other Jamaicans qualified for the Women’s 200m semi-finals scheduled for 7:35 am ET (or 6:35 am Jamaica time) on Thursday, Day 6 of the World Championships in Beijing, China.
