Defending World Champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce clocked 10.88 in a head wind of +2.3  to win heat 3 of the Women’s 100m on Day 2 of the World Championships in Beijing, China. Watch video below.

Veronica Campbell-Brown finished second in heat 1, clocking 11.04 behind America’s Tori Bowie. While Jamaica’s Sherone Simpon, the new Pan American 100m Champion, finished third in heat 6 in a time of 11.22 and Natasha Morrison second in heat 2 (11.08) behind Blessing Okagbare (11.07). All qualified for the semi-finals set for Day 3 on August 23.
