Christopher Taylor of Calabar High has broken the Class 2 400m Meet Record in the preliminaries of the 2016 ISSA/Grace Kennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Championships on its Opening day on Tuesday, March 15 at the National Stadium in Kingston.
Taylor, who broke Usain Bolt’s 400m National Youth Record at 2015 IAAF World Youth Championships, clocked 46.33 to break the 46.64 meet record set by Devaughn Baker of Jamaica College in 2013.
After the race, Taylor told reporters that the plan was to get the record of the way as he has three big races on Saturday, March 19, which are the 200m, 400m and 4 x 400m on the final day of the Championships held March 15 -19.
