Elaine Thompson beats Dafne Schippers in Women’s 60m semi-final

Elaine Thompson has beaten her biggest rival, Dafne Schippers, to record the fastest time in the semi-final of the Women’s 60m and a personal best of 7.04 on Day 3 of the World Indoor Championship underway at the Oregon Convention Centre in Portland, Oregon USA.

Jamaica’s Simone Facey finished 4nd in Heat 3 in 7.21 to qualify for the Final set for later.
