Jamaica Wins Gold and Silver in 3000m Race at CARIFTA 2016

Jamaica’s Britnie Dixon and Monifa Green won the gold and silver medal respectively in the Girls’ 3000 Meter Run OPEN on Day 2 of the 2016 CARIFTA Games in St. George’s, Grenada — March 26-28.

Dixon sprinted to the finish line in a time of 10:16.90 to win the gold medal ahead of Green, who clocked 10:17.00 to claim the silver medal. Barbados’s Elizabeth  Williams was third.
