Chile, which is looking to defend its Copa title in the United States, had chances but was punished at the Estadio Sausalito. Jamaica led by two goals until the 82nd minute when Nicolas Castillo scored a goal for Chile. Clayton Donalson scored the opening goal for Jamaica in the 36th minute.

Then Joel Grant scored the second goal in the 53rd minute. Chile had numerous opportunities, particularly before going 2-0 down, but was left to rue the misses at home. Jamaica, meanwhile, will carry its winning form into its Group C clash against Venezuela on June 5.
