Veronica Campbell-Brown Runs a season’s best 10.83 in Florida

Veronica Campbell-Brown ran a season’s best 10.83 seconds (1.6m/s) finishing second in a 100m race in Montverde, central Florida, United States, on Saturday, June 11.

Murielle Ahoure of the Ivory Coast won the event in a World Leading and personal best of 10.78 seconds.

With that time, the 34-year-old Campbell-Brown, former World and Olympic champion, is the fastest Jamaican woman in the world so far this year, and joint fourth fastest in the world with Dafne Schippers of the Netherlands, ahead of Elaine Thompson (10.87 seconds) and Simone Facey (11.00 seconds).

Americans Tori Bowie (10.80 seconds) and English Gardener (10.81 seconds) are second and third ranked, respectively.
