Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has won Heat 3 of the Women’s 100m preliminaries in a time of 11.38 seconds at Jamaican Olympic Trials/Jamaican Senior Championships on Thursday — held June 30 – July at the National Stadium in Kingston.
The Jamaican Senior Championships has been used to select the national team to represent and compete in the 2016 RIO Olympics between August 5 and 21 — unlike the IAAF World Championships, no wild cards are available.
Thus, every single athlete will have to be at their optimum to secure one of three spots to the greatest show on Earth.
Heat 1 winner Christania Williams – Time: 11.20
Heat 2 winner Simone Facey – Time: 11.31
Heat 4 winner Veronica Campbell-Brown – Time: 11.39
Heat 5 winner Elaine Thompson – Time: 11.38
