3 Jamaicans Qualify for Women’s 400m Hurdles Final at Rio Olympics

Janieve Russel, Ristananna Tracey and Leah Nugent have qualified for the Women’s 400m Hurdles Final at Rio Olympics.

Russel finished second in 54.92 in semi-final #2 to American Ashley Spencer’s 54.87, both ladies ran a strong race to beat Britan’s Eilidh Doye at the finish line. Jamaica’s Ristananna Tracey, who finished second in semi-final #1, has also qualified for the final.

Leah Nugent finished third in her semi-final and has qualified as one of the fastest non-automatic qualifiers to the finals.
