The 2017 Inter-Secondary School Sports Association (ISSA) Boys’ and Girls’ Athletic Championships will see the defending champions Calabar High and Edwin Allen School vying to defend their titles on March 28 – April 1.
The five-day championships will begin on Tuesday at 1:00 pm with the preliminary round of the Class 1 Boys’ Long Jump at the National Stadium in Kingston.
Calabar High, who will be seeking their 6th consecutive title overall, have most to fear from perennial rivals Kingston College (KC).
This year Edwin Allen will be bidding for their fourth straight title after they outclassed the field last year to beat second-placed finishers Hydel for the girls’ title. St. Jago High had to settle for third. The Clarendon-based Edwin Allen High School is the favorite to win this year.
