Novlene Williams-Mills has won the Women’s 400m dash at the 14th Jamaica International Invitational (JII) meet underway at the National Stadium in Kingston.

The 35-year-old Olympian brought the home crowd to its feet with an emotional, strong and impressive race to win in a time of 50.54, beating Americans Phyllis Francis (50.66) and Natasha Hastings 51.20, who finished second and third respectively.
