Jamaican Women win USA VS. World – 2018 Penn Relays

The Jamaican women’s 4x100m team has won the Women’s USA VS. World gold medal at the 2018 Penn Relays underway at the Franklin Field in Philadelphia, PA.

The team, Gayon Evans, Kerron Stewart, Schillone Calvert-Powell, Jura Levy, ran a strong race to beat two USA teams to clocked 43.14, making history, becoming the only team to win this event consecutively.

Team USA’s Red team – Aaliyah Brown, Kimberlyn Duncan, Destinee Brown and Kyra Jefferson – finished second with a time of 43.18.

The Jamaican men’s team – Nesta Carter, Tyquendo Tracey, Oshane Bailey, Jevaughn Minzie – finished third with a time of 39.17 behind two USA men team. The USA Red team – Lashon Collins, Justin Gatlin, Tevin Hester, Justin Walker – won the event in 38.39 while the USA Blue team finished second with a time of 38.72 ahead of Jamaica.
