Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz played like Gold Cup winners in their first match of the 2019 Gold Cup, defeating Honduras 3-2 as Jamaica hosts its first Gold Cup match in front of an electric crowd of 17,874 spectators.
Dever Orgill, who scored the only goal against the USA last month, scored the first two goals in the first half of the match – 15th and 41st minute – against Honduras. However, the Boyz’ sloppy defense allowed the Hondurans to score two goals in the second half.
Here are Group C standings after Jamaica’s first match of the 2019 Gold Cup. The Reggae Boyz will tackle El Salvador this Friday at 7 pm E.T.
