Fedrick Dacres Breaks Pan AM Games Discus Throw Record, wins gold; Traves takes silver

Fedrick Dacres has smashed the Pan AM Games record in the men’s Discus Throw final while compatriot Traves Smikle won the silver medal for Jamaica at the games underway in Lima, Peru.

Dacres, the National recorder holder, threw 67.68m on his second attempt to smash the 36-year-old (67.32) record. Smikle registered a best
65.02 on his fifth throw of six.
