Yohan Blake and compatriots Andre Ewers and national champion Rasheed Dwyer were all left behind in the men’s 200m semifinal at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar on Monday.

Blake could only manage a sixth-place finish in semi-final 3 in 20.37 seconds — not fast enough to qualify for the final. Canada’s Olympic silver medallist Andre De Grasse won in 20.08.
The 29-year-old Blake competed in the semis less than 48 hours after he finished out of the medals in the men’s 100m, won by American Christian Coleman in 9.76 seconds, the fastest time in the world this year and sixth-best of all time.
