Stephenie Ann McPherson has qualified for the women’s 400m final at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar on Tuesday.

The Jamaican, who built a big lead through the first 250m, had enough in the tank to carry her position through to the line and win Heat 3 in 50.70.
Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson had started quickest in heat 2, but the tall Bahamian easily reeled her in round the second bend before striding away for a very impressive win in 49.66. Jackson recorded 50.10 which earned her a spot in the final
