WATCH: Jamaica scores 2-0 against Suriname in GOLD CUP 2021

The Reggae Boyz have kicked off their 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup campaign with an exciting start, defeating Suriname in their first match of the competition on Monday at the Exploria Stadium in Orlando.

Bobby Reid scored a sensational goal in the 26th minute to extend Jamaica’s lead to 2 -0.

In the 6th minute, Shamar Nicholson scored the first goal for Jamaica with a low right-footed shot from outside the box to put Jamaica in a 1-0 lead.

The Reggae Boyz now sits at the top of Group C with 3 points. Jamaica will play Guadeloupe at 6:30 pm EST on Friday, July 16.

Jamaica is the first Caribbean team to qualify for two consecutive Gold Cup Finals — 2015 and 2017. The team hopes to win the cup this season.
