Dancehall legend Vybz Kartel’s first concert will be in Jamaica on December 31, 2024, following his release from prison last month after 13 years.

The announcement in a post on social media Friday by Cordel ‘Skatta’ Burrell of Downsound Entertainment, showed Kartel and Downsound boss Josef Bogdanovich signing the agreement.
The location of the highly-anticipated concert was not disclosed.
Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, was released from prison on July 31 after the Court of Appeal ruled against retrying him and his three co-accused for murder, months after their previous conviction was quashed by the Privy Council in the United Kingdom.
