Miss Universe Jamaica, Sharlene Rädlein, is up next to try win the 2015 beauty queen title and crown for Jamaica following Miss World Jamaica, Sanneta Myrie, impressive Top 5 finish yesterday at the Miss World pageant. Watch live below.
Rädlein, a 25-year-old professional model, competed with 79 contestants in the Miss Universe Preliminary Competition — swimsuit and evening gown — on Thursday. That competition along with an interview portion will help determine which contestants will make the Top 15 on December 20, according to the pageant’s organizers.
The 2015 Miss Universe finale will be held in Las Vegas and will be aired live on Sunday, December 20th at 7/6c on FOX.
Rädlein, who is of Jamaican-German-Scottish descent, was hit by car seven years ago while she was walking across the street with two friends. She was released 8 hours later after being admitted with a cast, 15 stitches on her head, and external wounds.
Today, the strong Jamaican describes the accident as ‘a terrifying experience’ and adds that “Life is short and after overcoming such obstacles and self doubt/worth. I know I can accomplish anything that life throws at me. Don’t give up in your dreams! Be patient, work hard, and stay humble.”
