Jamaican-born actress Judi Blair is making huge strides in the television entertainment industry in the U.S. Tyler Perry will announce Blair as the newest cast member of the hit daytime TV drama ‘If Loving You Is Wrong‘ in Season 3, which premieres on September 22 on the Oprah Winfrey Network at 9 p.m. local time or 10 p.m. ET.
“My prayer is that my journey as a Jamaican in the entertainment industry will be a story of inspiration and ignites the dreamer in others,” the Clarendon native said.
“On the show, I play the daughter (Faun) of a successful businessman who has taken an interest in Joey (Matt Cook),” Blair revealed via email. “This season you will see the change in Faun as she seemly goes from a good girl to a risky rebellious girl.”
Blair has been making significant waves in the indie world as she’s the leading character in the movie ‘Last Night,’ which is actively being screened across the country. For this film, she was nominated 2015 ABFF Best Actress.
She has also worked in several Film and Television productions; landing speaking role on BET’s ‘The Game‘, CW’s ‘Vampire Diaries‘, MTV’s ‘Single Ladies‘ and supporting roles in original TV Movies such as Russ Parr’s ‘Hear No Evil‘, Keronda McKnight’s ‘My Other Mother‘, Corey Prince’s ‘Lyfe’s Journey‘ and Mark Harris’ ‘My First Love‘, all airing on UPTV Network.
The Jamaican actress says she’s excited about “My First Love’, released on DVD and VOD on the September 8.
EOne will distributing her first leading lady role next year February (Valentines Week) where she played opposite Darren Henson.
