?? Stephenie-Ann McPherson won Heat 1 of the Women’s 400m on Day 2 of athletics at Rio Olympic Games in Brazil on Saturday.

McPherson won her heat in 51.36 to advance to the semi-final set for Day 3, August 14 at 6:35pm JA time/ 7:35pm ET. Patience Okon George of Nigeria came in second in 51.83 and Australian sprinter Anneliese Rubie finished third with a season-best of 51.92.
