Jamaica has dominated the 2016 CARIFTA Games winning a total of 86 medals over three days in St. George\u2019s, Grenada — March 26-28.\u00a0The CARIFTA Games<\/b> is an annual athletics competition founded by the Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA).<\/p>\n
Jamaica entered the 2016 CARIFTA games with some 80 athletes and won 42 gold<\/strong>, 28 silver<\/strong>, and 16 bronze<\/strong> medals to rank #1 for the 40th time of the games’ 45-year history.<\/p>\n
In 2015, Team Jamaica, which has maintained the top spot since 1985, won 85 medals at the Silver Jubilee Athletic Stadium in Basseterre, St Kitts \u00a0\u2014 41 gold, 25 silver and 19 bronze.<\/p>\n
Team JA has won a combined total of 1,645 medals \u2014 768 gold<\/strong>, 534 silver<\/strong>, 343 bronze<\/strong> since 1990. View the medal table below.<\/p>\n
