Brianna Williams breaks Jamaican 100m Junior record again! 11.02

Brianna Williams has lowered Jamaica’s National Junior record again, setting a new 100m junior record at Saturday’s Great Southwest Classic in New Mexico.

Williams, the reigning World U20 sprint double champion, clocked 11.02 less than an hour after compatriot Kiara Grant’s 11.04 at the NCAA National Championship in Texas.

Grant had reclaimed the title after Williams clocked 11.10 (+0.2) record she set at last Saturday’s Jacksonville Athletic Club Open Meet (JAC Open) in Jacksonville, Florida.

Williams has been preparing to compete against Jamaica’s senior athletes at the Jamaica Senior Championships later this month. June 20 -23.

Noteworthy: Earlier today, Sha’Carri Richardson of LSU stormed to record a 10.75 world junior record to take the women’s 100m title ahead of Kayla White of North Carolina 10.95 at the NCAA Championships in Texas
