Elaine Thompson has won the women’s 100m dash at the second meet of the 2017 Diamond League series in Shanghai, China. Watch the race below.
Thompson, the Olympic champion, clocked 10.78 to beat American Olympic 200m silver medallist Tori Bowie, who finished second in a time of 11.04.

Thompson continues her dominance in the Diamond League series after opening her season with a comfortable 200m victory last week, beating in her biggest rival Dafne Schippers in their first head to head this year at the Doha Diamond League.
For the first time ever, Elaine Thompson, Dafne Schippers, Tori Bowie and Allyson Felix, are expected to compete in the women’s 200m at the Eugene Diamond League on May 27.
