Nickel Ashmeade finished second in 20.45 and Julian Forte finished third in an equal time of 20.45. Warren Weir finished fourth in 20.50. Bolt did not compete as he is still undergoing treatment for his hamstring injury and has applied for medical exemption.

The medical exemption requires that he must prove his fitness before July ends. The Jamaican Senior Championships is used to select the national team to represent and compete in the 2016 RIO Olympics between August 5 and 21 — unlike the IAAF World Championships, no wild cards are available. We’ll update this story as more information becomes available.
