Christiania Williams 2nd in Heat 6 of Women’s 100m at Rio 2016 Olympics

Christiania Williams finished second in Heat 6 of Women’s 100m on Day 1 of Athletics at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Friday.

Christiania Williams finished second in 11.27 behind Trinidad and Tobago’s Michelle-Lee Ahye (11.00) and has advanced to the semi-final set for Day 2, Saturday, August 13 in the afternoon session at 7:00 pm JA / 8:00pm ET. Compatriot Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won Heat 4 in 10.96 seconds while Elaine Thompson won Heat 7 in 11.21.
