Elaine Thompson, double Olympic champion, proved that she is the real deal when she took on three of the best women’s 200m runners of all time at the Zurich Diamond League in Switzerland on Thursday.

Thompson, who won the 100m at Lausanne Diamond League last week, won the Women’s 200m diamond race, broke the Diamond League record after clocking 21.85, clipping Dafne Schippers at the finish line by one-one hundredth of a second – 21.86. Allyson Felix finished third in 22.02.
Compatriots Simone Facey and Veronica Campbell-Brown finished fifth and sixth respectively.
