The 24th staging of Jamaica’s Reggae Sumfest will be introducing live 360-degree virtual reality streaming for the world to experience Jamaica’s premier music festival on any device July 22-23, 2016.
The live streaming will be available for free, which is geared towards increasing the festival’s international appeal. A mobile App, Sumfest Live, is also available in all app stores for viewing Reggae Sumfest Music Festival in 360° surround viewing, where viewers can choose a camera view with the touch of their finger tips.
Viewers can also choose camera position and a viewing area from Navigation bar on viewing screen. See screenshot above. By gyroscopic movement of cellphone or tablet, fans will see a full 360° view of everything in that camera’s position. Viewers can also press stereoscopic symbol on the viewing screen to view in a 360° VR headset as well.
The festival’s new management assures that measures to truly take the brand internationally are currently on the table.
Dancehall night will take place on Friday, July 22, 2016, at Catherine Hall, Montego Bay and will be headlined by Beenie Man, Assassin, Spice, Popcaan, and I-Octane.
The show will conclude on Saturday, July 23 with Reggae Night featuring megastars Barrington Levy, Sanchez, Busy Signal, Tarrus Riley, and others.
