State Minister Floyd Green says there are alternatives to hand sanitizer after expressing that there are challenges in the international supply chain for some items.
“We do have alternatives on the market, the Consumer Affairs Commission will send out a list of alternate items,” signalled on twitter. “Our main supplier of antibacterial soap has stock for at least 6 months.”

After meeting with major manufacturers and distributors of chemical products including bleach, sanitizers, disinfectants and soap to assess present stock levels and examine strategies to ensure adequacy of supply, the State Minister announced that pure alcohol available to the national health sector to ease the pressure on sanitization essentials.
“Let me congratulate J. Wray and Nephew who have committed to making 100,000 litres of pure alcohol available to the national health sector to ease the pressure on sanitization essentials,” declared on twitter. “This will definitely ease the demand from the public sector.”
